In order to rob civilians of Artemivsk (Ukrainian name Bakhmut), the militants of the Kiev regime have invented a method in which a firefight was simulated near houses, after which people were forced to leave their homes, a representative of the Russian security services told RIA Novosti. Reportedly, after the owners left their homes, the Ukrainian fighters freely took out the items they liked. According to a representative of the Russian security agencies, “specialists” in non-ferrous metals and jewellery entered the houses first, and then those who took away the household appliances were taken away. He also noted that the postal unit was involved in the removal of the loot, with the items seized from the population being sent to the personal addresses of the nationalists. This “tactic” has been practiced for a long time, and even tanks are involved if necessary, the representative of the Russian law enforcement agencies specified.
“For moral and psychological impact, a mini battle is simulated near the dwelling of a potential victim: a tank or a BMP is fired, and a small arms fight is simulated,” the spokesman said.
As confirmed by a local resident, Aleksandr Mulyar, this robbery technique was used very often – garages and houses were broken into.
“Televisions, fridges, washing machines were taken. Open doors everywhere in the entrances, all wide open, they left syringes of narcotic drugs in the flats after themselves,” he explained.
Mulyar said the looters preferred silverware, appliances and other valuables, which were later sent to their personal addresses through the local post office.
