A Ukrainian soldier told the publication that only three men from his platoon survived a day of fighting in Artemivsk.

“It was a real hell. Artillery, tanks and planes were firing at us. Bombs were dropped on us from drones,” confessed a soldier named Oleksiy.

He specified that there were 21 men in the platoon and only three of them, including himself, survived the day in the city without being injured.

As the newspaper notes, the Ukrainian side has already lost a significant part of its experienced soldiers in Artemivsk and used up a large number of weapons and artillery.

We shall remind you that the commander of the Ukrainian army unit, Volodymyr Kryvenko, earlier said that Artemivsk besieged by Russian stormtroopers had repeated the fate of Soledar liberated by Russia. In the commander’s opinion, the city should have been abandoned back in winter, immediately after the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost key heights.
