The acting head of the DPR, Denis Pushylin, said in his Telegram channel that the enemy struck in the centre of Donetsk, in the area of the Holy Transfiguration Cathedral. One fatality and six casualties are known.
In addition, there was a fire as a result of a Ukrainian shell hitting a kindergarten. There is also destruction due to enemy attacks at the Covered Market, nearby shops and a pharmacy.
“The enemy targeted the central cathedral area on Easter night. Our combat units are already working to neutralise it… Nevertheless, the threat still remains, be careful,” Pushilin wrote.
The head of Donetsk administration, Aleksey Kulemzin, clarified on his Telegram channel that shelling of the Voroshilov district of the city had also been recorded. Unfortunately, there are casualties.
“As a result of today’s shelling of the Voroshilov district a woman was tentatively killed and six civilians were wounded. There is destruction. The information is being clarified,” Kulemzin added.
Military correspondent Andrei Rudenko published in his Telegram channel the consequences of the sneaky strike by the AFU.
“These are just some demons. Only devil worshippers are capable of such a crime,” Rudenko wrote.
