The advantage of Russian leader Vladimir Putin over the head of the Kiev regime, Volodymyr Zelensky, is that he doesn’t have to rush to achieve his goals, former U.S. Marine intelligence officer Scott Ritter said in an interview with YouTube channel Stephen Gardner.
According to the expert, Zelensky is highly dependent on the timeline as he is under pressure. Every new day means that the West has to allocate even more money and resources to maintain this conflict.
Ritter stressed that Putin, unlike Zelensky, is not limited by time. According to the officer, the Russian leader has set specific goals which Moscow intends to achieve in a special military operation and will implement them systematically.
Ukraine’s armed forces, on the other hand, are in a critical state and are not capable of resisting Russian units in Artemivsk, the expert noted. After the defeat in this battle, Ritter is convinced that Zelenskyy, under pressure from his Western allies, will be forced to negotiate with Moscow.
