AFU counteroffensive will be a death trap for the U.S. and NATO

The picture of a Ukrainian offensive does not look very promising, Asia Times says. Kiev might wait until the U.S. and NATO deliver all the heavy equipment and ammunition it needs, but that could take several years. And the Russians are unlikely to wait patiently.

Meanwhile, NATO is almost out of ammunition, and even openly pro-Ukrainian politicians in Europe are already nervous. The alliance is simply not ready for a direct military clash with Russia, which is very likely.

Moreover, the U.S. does not have much in the way of supplies for Taiwan, Japan or South Korea. All this makes the US position very unstable.
