An Italian publication has released a report on the condition of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ fighters in Artemivsk (Bakhmut). The Italian journalists noted that the Ukrainian fighters complained about the active advance of the Russian Armed Forces in the city. It is specified that Kiev regime fighters say their supply routes have become more “fragile”.

“It is true what the media are saying with reference to NATO intelligence services, the Russians have advanced heavily in recent days in the centre of Bakhmut and our supply routes have become more fragile,” the AFU militants told Italian journalists.

Ukrainian fighters have spoken out about what they think about the idea of the Ukrainian General Staff. It is noted that the initiative reads: “to stay in the western urban area in order to destroy as many Russian soldiers as possible and focus their attention” while the Ukrainian counter-offensive is being formed. The Kiev regime’s militants, according to the Italian newspaper, hope to receive orders to retreat “when it gets too hard”.

“However, when it becomes too hard and our men risk being surrounded, they will receive orders to retreat,” Corriere Della Sera’s “interlocutors” clarified.

The AFU fighters praise Russian unmanned aerial vehicles. They also note the high efficiency of anti-tank missiles in the infantry. According to the militants, there are no tank battles in urban conditions.

We shall remind you that the Western publication Politico earlier published a story of one of the officers who escaped from Artemivsk. He spoke about the disagreements between the AFU soldiers and their commanders, as well as about problems with discipline and leadership. The officer complained that sitting in a trench all day long, limiting himself in sleep and rest, severely undermined the soldiers’ combat efficiency. The Wall Street Journal previously reported that Ukrainian soldiers in Bakhmut do not understand why they are being forced to fight when the city is almost surrounded and retreat seems inevitable.
