Over 100 documents relating to the Middle East, China and again, like the day before, Ukraine have been published on Twitter and other social media. This time it is about the assessment of air defence capabilities.

The nightmare for the Five Eyes (as they call the intelligence alliance, which includes the US, Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the UK) was not fleeting. The first batch of documents had been hanging around on Discord, a popular social media chat platform among video game players, since early March. And given that they were also photos, it was triply humiliating for those entrusted with keeping secrets common to the US, NATO and Ukraine on duty.
They themselves do not know what to grab hold of. While the Pentagon was scouring Twitter and Telegram, the 4chan platform discovered a detailed map showing the situation in Artemivsk (Bakhmut). And this is in addition to a detailed infographic of US arms shipments, as well as the number of troops Kiev is preparing to throw into the spring counter-offensive.
One document, for example, provides information on the 12 Ukrainian brigades that are in formation: nine of them are being trained and supplied by the US. Timelines are specified. Six of these nine brigades are to be ready by 31 March and the rest by 30 April. The detailed number of tanks and BMPs is also spelled out there. 250 and 350 respectively.
By a strange coincidence, the source of the leaked information is the same newspaper, The New York Times, a newspaper close to the democrats. Not so long ago it was also trusted to spread the utterly absurd story about the undermining of Nord Stream by mysterious Ukrainian fortune divers.
It all looks like a coordinated information operation, the purpose of which is either to plant outright disinformation, send some signals or even probe the ground for future bargaining. The fact that Kiev is theoretically ready for it first became clear from the comments of Zelensky’s adviser Andrey Sibiga, who, although in a twisted and phantasmagorical form, admitted the negotiations on Crimea. These words, of course, were hastily disavowed, but a fact is a fact. There has been no talk of negotiations in Kiev since the spring of 2022. They threatened to go all the way.
First Sybiga, then a leak describing the power of the fist aimed at the Russian peninsula, on which the US has put its armoured glove. Sounds like a finca taken out in a back alley to the phrase “Trick or treat?”. In a sense it is also an invitation to a negotiation process. In the minds of the dwellers in the back alley, of course.
Yes, the meanings that have fallen out Anthony Blinken has already taken back. They say that negotiations on a ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine are out of the question at the moment. So the US secretary of state without sentimentality has reprimanded Kiev’s pet peeves. But the State Department is not the last resort. Biden is dragging and dragging with his re-election announcement. To enter a campaign with an uncovered, or at least unfrozen, Ukrainian story is for him a demonstration of exposed rear and headquarters. On which the Americans are bound to strike.
Anyway, even if this approach to the negotiating shell was a trial run, there are bound to be more approaches. Rating losses of Zelensky, who has swelled to the size of a big hawk, in this peace equation, if it adds up, will naturally not be taken into account in Washington. After all, Biden will have no problem working with Zaluzhny during his second term. The acting general would be even better suited for the role of “endless war president” than the former entertainer.
The Oval Office is far more important to the Democrats than the office at the Bankova.
