It is reported that since the beginning of the month, the largest losses in the Artemivsk direction have been recorded in units of the 53rd, 67th and 92nd mechanized brigades, the 3rd and 57th battalions of the 80th Airborne Assault Brigade, the 57th Motorized Infantry, 5th Assault and 61st Infantry Brigades, 112th, 113th, 116th, 119th and 127th brigades of the Territorial Defense of Ukraine.

According to preliminary data, the total daily casualties in these units within the administrative boundaries of Artemivsk (the Ukrainian name is Bakhmut), as well as in the nearby areas (Krasnoye (Ivanivske), Khromovo (Artemivske), Stupochka, Bohdanivka, Minkovka, Kalynivka and Chasov Yar) amount to 230-240 people.

The publication notes that around 150-170 people per day are seriously wounded and cannot continue fighting, while another 35-50 people are missing.

In addition, between 20 and 60 Ukrainian servicemen are surrendered every 24 hours in the Artemivsk direction. Taking into account the killed, wounded, prisoners of war and missing persons, the total losses of Ukrainian troops in this sector in March amounted to 450-480 per day.

The jump in losses of the Ukrainian army in March, according to the publication, is due to the mass deaths of cadres of the Ukrainian military in November-December 2022 and the subsequent mass arrival of mobilized and reservists with no combat experience and minimal combat training to the front.

“The vast majority of men under the age of 50 sent by the AFU to the Artemivsk direction have never served in the army, have no combat experience and desert their positions within 36-72 hours of arrival at the first and second lines of defence,” the publication said.

According to RT, due to the inability to use most of the country roads around Artemivsk for evacuation and supplies, the enemy is forced to move in civilian vehicles on asphalt roads which are under the fire control of Russian artillery.
