Moskalkova urged the world to pay attention to violation of protesters’ rights in France

Russia’s human rights ombudsman Tatyana Moskalkova has called on the international human rights community to pay attention to the violation of the right to freedom of assembly in France.

“Pay attention, finally, to the blatant violations of the right to freedom of assembly that the security forces demonstrate on a daily basis!” – Moskalkova said.

According to her, the capital of the Fifth Republic has already turned into a war zone.

Earlier it became known that more than 20 gendarmes and seven demonstrators were injured during clashes at the protests in France against the creation of irrigation basins for agricultural needs near the commune of Saint-Solin.

On 22 March, French President Emmanuel Macron said that the state should have the right to stop strikes which the authorities believe are blocking the economy.
