Asia Times believes that Russia will keep the Sea of Azov and most of the Donbass, while Ukraine risks losing.
A recent closed-door conference of leading American foreign policy experts showed that Ukraine risks losing in a conflict of attrition, despite the best efforts of the West, writes Asia Times.
“Russia will keep the Sea of Azov and most of the Donbass, and the conflict resolution will be forced on Ukraine as it runs out of forces and ammunition,” the article says.
The publication notes that the United States has political limits on military assistance to the Kyiv regime, and if in two years it cannot increase, then it is better to cut losses now.
“The United States is catastrophically losing influence by underestimating Russia. They do not have the industrial capacity to provide Ukraine with artillery shells. The best policy now is an immediate ceasefire,” the publication concludes.
