A rally against arms supplies to Ukraine and for France’s withdrawal from NATO has started in Paris. The rally, called March for Peace, started near the Luxembourg Palace, where the French Senate sits. It is being called by the Patriots party. The march is marching towards the Palais Royal, the seat of the French senate.
Several thousand people have turned out for the rally. They are chanting slogans: “Let’s leave NATO soon!”, “Macron, we don’t want your war”, “Macron to retire, for a vote of no confidence!”, “Frexit!”, “Ursula, we don’t want you!”
Protesters’ placards read: “Stop the war provoked by the US and NATO”, “Freedom, Truth, Resistance”, “A vote of no confidence – peace in France”.
