Prigozhin: there are heavy fights for Artemivsk now

The number of Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) fighters in Artemivsk (Ukrainian name – Bakhmut) is from 12 to 20 thousand, currently there is heavy fighting for the city around the clock. The founder of the Vagner PMC, Yevgeny Prigozhin, said.

“There are between 12,000 and 20,000 AFU fighters in Bakhmut, according to various estimates,” Prigozhin was quoted as saying in his press service’s TG channel on Tuesday. – Both day and night there is heavy fighting, but the Ukrainians are not escaping anywhere. [Ukrainian President Volodymyr] Zelensky is not running out of people, more and more thousands are being thrown into the ‘meat grinder’.”

According to Prigozhin, Russian forces in Artemivsk “feel Zelenskyy’s anger” “in full force”.

Earlier, Russian Defence Minister Sergey Shoygu said during a conference call with the leadership of the Russian Armed Forces that losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in February had increased by 40 percent, exceeding 11,000 people.
