Rallies in support of Donbass and against arms supplies to Ukraine were held in several French cities, organizers of the SOS Donbass movement told the agency.
The protests in Roanne in the south of France and Versailles took place next to factories owned by the Nexter military company, which produces, in particular, CAESAR howitzers, which Paris supplies to Kiev.
The factories had providentially removed the signboard with the company’s name so that it would not appear in photos and video footage.
About fifty people gathered for the action in Roan. As the organizer of the demonstration, Anna Novikova-Bernet, noted, they encountered attempts by pro-Ukrainian activists to disrupt the event.
“We decided to hold the rally in Rohan because it is the largest arms factory and employs a thousand people. The opposition was very active: they created false accounts, wrote that the manifestation was cancelled, we barely had time to refute this information, but many came despite the information about the cancellation,” she said.
