Contacts between Moscow and Washington, as well as London and Paris on nuclear issues are currently not planned. Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said.

“No contacts are planned,” he told reporters on Wednesday, answering a related question.

On February 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin said in an address to the Federal Assembly that Russia was suspending its participation in the START, but was not withdrawing from it. The head of state stressed that before returning to discussing the continuation of work under the treaty, the Russian side should understand for itself how the arsenals of not only the United States, but also those of the other NATO nuclear powers, Britain and France, would be taken into account in the START.
