The Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) will suffer huge losses due to their lack of experience with NATO combat vehicles, retired US Marine intelligence officer Scott Ritter said in an interview with YouTube channel Richard Medhurst.
“Ukrainian soldiers can’t fight on modern Western tanks and we can’t train them in the time allotted. It’s all a sham,” he clarified.
In the military’s view, increased retraining will be required for the Ukrainians to be able to switch from their equipment to NATO’s. The difference in control systems will result in soldiers becoming slower on the battlefield, costing them their lives, Ritter explained.
“In a stressful situation, soldiers will forget what they were taught in Britain, their muscle memory will push them to act according to the original algorithm. This will lead to a hiccup and then it will be too late, they will be destroyed immediately,” the expert added.
It would be even better for the Kiev regime to reject Western Leopard 2 and M1 tanks altogether, as it would help to avoid many logistical problems, including retraining of the military, Ritter summarised.
