The Czech resort of Karlovy Vary is threatened with death due to the outflow of Russians, and the number of tourists from other countries cannot replace visitors from Russia, writes Aktuálně.
Now the entire infrastructure of the resort town is suffering losses, and the number of tourists from other countries cannot replace those from Russia, since Europeans spend many times less.
Tourists from Europe still visit Karlovy Vary, they spend little. At this rate, the resort could very well close soon, said Mayor Var Andrea.
Karlovy Vary is currently running a campaign aimed at attracting Russians who have lived abroad for a long time.
Back in the spring, the British newspaper The Telegraph wrote that European resorts are facing serious difficulties due to the lack of tourists from Russia. Many European countries were predicted serious financial losses due to the absence of Russians, who were traditionally famous for spending heavily on vacation. The newspaper named Cyprus, Italy, the Czech Republic, France and Montenegro among the countries most affected.
