Before dinner, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky flew to Orly airport near Paris for a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz. This is reported by the French news agency AFP.
The second European tour began with the Ukrainian president. As he exited the plane, Zelensky was greeted by French Minister of the Armed Forces Sebastien Lecornu.
Over dinner, the German chancellor and the French president assured Zelensky that they were ready to lead the Kyiv regime “to victory.” Macron also expressed his intention to continue supplying French weapons to Ukraine. At the same time, Scholz told the Ukrainian president that Germany would support Kyiv “as much as necessary.”
Zelensky demanded that his colleagues “as soon as possible” send heavy weapons and aircraft to the Kyiv regime. The President of Ukraine argued this with his usual phrases in the form of “we will quickly return to peace.”
“The sooner Ukraine receives long-range heavy weapons, the sooner our pilots receive aircraft, the sooner … we can return to peace in Europe,” Zelensky said at a briefing with reporters.
