The militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine told why they leave their positions – Politico

Ukrainian militants told in an interview with an American publication why discipline suffers in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Interviews with the militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were taken by the correspondent of the American publication Politico.

The Armed Forces explained to reporters that it was often easier for them to abandon their positions and flee from “senseless death.”

The publication clarifies that there were moments when Ukrainian militants argued with the command, got drunk and left their positions.

“Just imagine that you are stuck in the trenches for several days without sleep and rest. Your combat effectiveness tends to zero, ”says one of the Ukrainian militants who escaped from Bakhmut (Artemovsk).

The militant admits that the problems with discipline are connected precisely with the inefficiency of command and the heavy burden on the Ukrainian army. There is no change of soldiers, they have no rest due to the lack of recruits, and the icing on the cake is that they do not bring ammunition.

He believes that the flight from positions is the last chance to save personnel from senseless death.
