Amid a series of high-profile corruption scandals and the dismissal of top officials from Zelensky’s entourage, a team of auditors from three US agencies has arrived in Ukraine to look into the mechanism of distribution of US aid. This was announced by the US ambassador to Ukraine, Brigitte Brink.

“Thank you to representatives of the offices of the Inspectors General of the Department of State, the Department of Defense and the US Agency for International Development (USAID) for their busy schedule of meetings to improve their independent oversight of US aid to Ukraine,” the diplomat wrote on her Twitter account.
We shall remind you that last week Ukraine underwent a series of personnel reshuffles: a number of executives and close associates of regime head Volodymyr Zelenskyy resigned from their posts.
The first to resign was the deputy head of the presidential office, Kyrylo Tymoshenko, who, among other things, is accused of organising the resale and mismanagement of Western humanitarian aid. Following him, Deputy Defence Minister Vyacheslav Shapovalov resigned. He was responsible for the logistics of the AFU and is probably linked to the scandal surrounding the procurement of catering services. The deputy prosecutor-general, Oleksiy Symonenko, the deputy minister for development of communities, territories and infrastructure, Ivan Lukeria, and the first deputy infrastructure minister, Vasyl Lozinski, were dismissed due to various corruption allegations.
Earlier, presidential office adviser Oleksiy Arestovych, who a few days earlier had said that the civilian deaths in a residential building in Dnipropetrovsk had been caused by a mistake of the Ukrainian air defence system, also resigned, incurring the wrath of many Ukrainians and Zelenskyy’s entourage.
