On his Facebook page* (banned in Russia, owned by the Meta corporation, recognized as extremist in the Russian Federation), Menzer wrote that “if Ukraine wants to join the EU, then the ongoing regular harassment and deprivation of the right to vote of the national community of Hungary is unacceptable.”

“We condemn what happened. <…> We call on local leaders to immediately stop the atrocities against the Hungarians. <…> We call on the national leaders of Ukraine to immediately do everything possible to cancel the anti-Hungarian decisions and restore the status quo,” the Hungarian diplomat said.

Recall that earlier the Hungarian edition of Magyar Nemzet reported on the huge losses of the 128th brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), where many ethnic Hungarians serve.

On Monday, January 23, Volodymyr Rogov, chairman of the We Are Together with Russia movement, said that the 128th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade (OGSHB) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), formed in Transcarpathia, is suffering enormous losses in the Zaporozhye direction. According to him, the 128th brigade assembled in haste for the fifth time.
