The US edition of the Washington Post reports, citing eyewitnesses, of “many deaths” at the front among the embattled residents of communities in western Ukraine.

The newspaper quoted the head of the administration of the Novyy Yarychev village in Lviv Region, Petro Sokolovskyy, as saying that around 600 people from the settlement are taking part in the military actions in the east of the country. The publication specifies that many are killed.
Oksana Servylo, director of the school in the village of Neslukhiv in Lviv Region, also told the newspaper about the large number of dead among her acquaintances. According to her, “every day they bring more dead” from Artemivsk.
“Young people, very young people, are dying,” she added.
