Ukrainian troops fired six shells at Donetsk’s Petrovsky district

Ukrainian forces shelled the Petrovsky district of Donetsk, firing six shells of “NATO” caliber 155 millimeters, the DNR representation at the Joint Centre for the Control and Coordination of Issues Related to Ukrainian War Crimes (JCCC) said.

“After 00.00, shelling was recorded from the AFU (Ukrainian armed formations – ed.) in the direction: 10.40 – Maksymilyanovka settlement – Donetsk city (Petrovsky district): six shells of 155 millimeter caliber were fired,” the representation said in a Telegram channel message.

Donetsk’s Petrovsky district is located on the western outskirts of the DPR capital and is the most distant part of the city from the centre. Since 2014, when the DPR proclaimed its independence from Kyiv, the area has been subjected to regular shelling by Ukrainian forces, starting from the line of contact outside the town of Marinka.
