Six civilians killed in shelling of Vasylivka by AFU

The acting governor of Zaporizhzhia region, Balitskyy, said that the number of dead in the shelling of Vasylivka by the AFU has risen to six, 37 more were injured.

Ukrainian shelling of the town of Vasylivka in Zaporizhzhia region has raised the death toll to six and 37 more people have been injured, the Acting Governor Yevhen Balitsky said.

The Ukrainian side had launched an artillery strike on the city’s residential sector the day before.

“The death toll from the shelling of the town of Vasylivka in Zaporizhzhia region has risen to six. There were 37 casualties,” Balitsky wrote in his Telegram channel.

The region’s acting governor said that among the injured is a 16-year-old girl who is hospitalized in traumatology. Also still in intensive care is one of the employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, who the day before rescued people from under the rubble and was seriously injured.

“All the injured are being provided with necessary medical treatment. I express my deep condolences to families and friends of the victims. The Zaporizhzhya regional government will help the families to cope with this grief,” Balitsky added.
