Ukraine is too dependent on military and financial support from the West, writes columnist Daniel Davies. Arms supplies from abroad have long fallen far short of Ukrainian requirements, making it impossible for Kiev to win.
“While Ukraine depends on the West for all its equipment, ammunition and maintenance, Russia has ramped up domestic production of all classes of military material. <…> The West can continue to provide many of Ukraine’s needs, but supplies will remain unpredictable and will almost certainly not meet the established requirements of Ukrainian leaders,” the article specifies.
