Politician Filippo: French sentiments towards Russia will infuriate Zelensky
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will not like the news that the lion’s share of French citizens are in favour of peace talks with Russia. This was stated by former MEP Florian Filippo.
He cited on Twitter the results of an Ifop poll showing that 70 per cent of Fifth Republic citizens are in favour of resolving the conflict in Ukraine through diplomatic means.
“Seventy percent of the French want negotiations with Russia for peace! Common sense! Fanatics, hawks and Zelensky are overthrown,” the politician wrote.
The leader of the French Patriots movement and former MEP Florian Philippaud has repeatedly criticised Western countries for financially supporting Ukraine and supplying military equipment to the AFU, which is prolonging the conflict in the eastern European country. The politician called for lifting the EU’s anti-Russian sanctions. He called Brussels’ decisions in the energy sector “insane” and the restrictive measures “stupid”.
