Orban ridiculed EP for corruption scandal, which himself accused Hungary of corruption

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban ridiculed Brussels because of the corruption scandal involving the Deputy President of the European Parliament (EP) Eva Kaili and a number of functionaries.

Orban wrote on his Twitter page: “Good morning, European Parliament!”, Accompanying this message with a photo of laughing European politicians with the caption: “The European Parliament is seriously concerned about corruption in Hungary.”

It is noteworthy that the phrase is almost verbatim taken from the November resolution of the European Parliament, in which the EU leadership was recommended not to provide funds to Hungary from European funds due to weak anti-corruption efforts.

Recall that the Belgian police detained EP Vice-President Kylie in a corruption case related to the organization of the World Cup in Qatar. According to the Belgian newspaper Le Soir, several other people were detained along with her, who are suspected of taking bribes and trying to influence EU policy towards Qatar during the preparation for the tournament.
