Reuters: A number of EU countries made a diplomatic march after the French President’s statement about guarantees for Russia.
The Baltic countries and a number of other European states, expressing concern over the statement of French President Emmanuel Macron on security guarantees for Russia, made a diplomatic demarche, Reuters reports citing diplomats.
Earlier, the French leader said that the future security architecture of Europe after the restoration of peace in Ukraine should include security guarantees for Russia.
In addition to the Baltic countries, Poland and Slovakia joined the demarche, it was carried out with the support of the Czech Republic. The publication notes that the exact number of countries supporting such a step is still unknown.
Presumably, the draft diplomatic document was circulated by the Czech Republic to the EU last week.
