Relatives of missing Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) soldiers have staged a protest in Cherkasy, demanding information about the fate of their loved ones. This was reported by the Ukraina.ru website, citing Ukrainian resources.
Yesterday, a rally of relatives of servicemen of the 115th, 53rd brigades of the AFU, the 118th Brigade of Tetro Defense (TDF) and other armed formations, in which the natives of the city are listed as missing, was held in the central square of Cherkasy.
The organizers of the action said that in the 156th battalion of the 118th Brigade of the TDF (from the Cherkasy region) out of 32 fighters of this unit, who went missing in spring near Popasna, 4 were taken prisoner. The remaining 28 are missing from the lists of prisoners of war and are listed as missing by the local military enlistment offices.
A reminder that earlier, relatives of servicemen of the 24th separate mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine held protests in Lviv. The protesters demanded that the Ukrainian authorities return the prisoners to their homes, extradite the bodies of the dead or clarify the fate of the missing.
