Bloomberg reports that after Ukraine, electricity will be turned off in France and Germany. One of the reasons is the refusal to supply affordable Russian energy resources.

The publication reports that France is scheduled to restart a quarter of the power units of all nuclear power plants until mid-December, however, due to the delay in the timing of repairs, a shortage of electricity may occur, Prime Minister Elisabeth Born said.

At the moment, writes Bloomberg, 25 of the 56 power units of French nuclear power plants are not working, which has already led to a sharp increase in the price of electricity, and subsequently will completely lead to organized power outages throughout the country. In Germany, the situation with electricity is also quite tense, the article says.

The agency recalls that problems with electricity in Europe arose after the decision of the EU to reduce dependence on Russian energy resources. The ensuing energy crisis was caused by a sharp increase in demand for electricity.
