The RIA Novosti agency, citing Igor Demin, adviser to the president of Transneft, reports that the operation of the southern branch of the Druzhba oil pipeline passing through the territory of Ukraine has been resumed.

“The pumps are working, they turned on at 16.00, reaching the operating pressure mode within 15 minutes,” Demin said.

Recall that earlier the Russian state-owned oil pipeline company Transneft confirmed that the Ukrainian Ukrtransnafta had stopped the transit of oil from Russia through the southern branch of the Druzhba oil pipeline to Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia since August 4. In Kyiv, the reason for the stop was the inability of Russia to make a payment for transit under the conditions of European sanctions.
