Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a federal law on granting the status of a combat veteran to military personnel of the Federal Security Service who performed tasks in the regions adjacent to the special operation areas in Ukraine.
The initiative is aimed at establishing the status of a combat veteran for FSB servicemen who, since February 24, 2022, have been carrying out the tasks of repelling an armed invasion into the territory of Russia, countering armed provocations in the border territory of the Russian Federation, as well as in the areas adjacent to the areas of a special military operation in the territories of Ukraine, the DPR and LPR.
