French President Emmanuel Macron at a press conference following the G7 summit said that he refused to recognize Russia as a sponsor of terrorism, as Volodymyr Zelensky had previously demanded, because “this is not a French technique.”
“France does not follow this methodology. We are talking about a war crime, the qualifications belong to the judges,” he said.
Macron added that France had sent investigators to Ukraine who, together with international justice, would investigate alleged war crimes to find those responsible.
Earlier, Zelensky said that he appealed to the United States to recognize Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism.
