France cannot find an alternative to Russian gas

Blue fuel suppliers to the European Union are Norway, the Netherlands, Algeria and others. However, they cannot meet the increased demand for gas.

There are other players in the market: Libya and Egypt. In the first case, gas will not be supplied due to the ongoing civil war in the country. Egypt does not intend to become a supplier due to prudence in relations with Russia.

Nigeria or Angola will also not be able to become a “reliable replacement for Russia” due to their remote geographical location and lack of capacity.
