Emmanuel Macron won the presidential election in France and will remain head of state for another five years.

In the second round of voting, he received 58.55% of the vote. This is reported by the political magazine “PolitExpert”, referring to the data of the French Ministry of the Interior.

His competitor in the second stage of the elections was the head of the National Rally party, Marine Le Pen. In the first round, her lead over Macron was only 4%, but in this she scored 41.45%.

Le Pen had previously discussed her hypothetical defeat with reporters. Then she said that if Macron wins the elections, she will admit it. In addition, she called her passage to the second round of voting a victory.
