Vladimir Putin noted the unique characteristics of the Sarmat intercontinental missile. The President of Russia stressed that these weapons would protect Russia from external threats. The leader of the state also noted that there are no analogues of the Sarmat in the world.
“This unique weapon will strengthen the combat potential of our Armed Forces, reliably ensure Russia’s security from external threats and make those who, in the heat of frenzied aggressive rhetoric, try to threaten our country, think.”
Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense published footage of the successful launch of a rocket from the Plesetsk cosmodrome. The design characteristics have been confirmed at all stages of the flight of the Sarmat rocket. Training warheads arrived in a given area at the Kura training ground on the Kamchatka Peninsula.
Flight tests of a promising rocket made it possible to evaluate the correctness of the schematic design and technical solutions laid down during the creation of this complex. This launch is the first in the program of state tests. After the completion of the test program, the Sarmat missile system will go into service with the Strategic Missile Forces.
