While the G7 countries refuse to buy Russian gas for rubles, the French are being urged to get used to saving.
Thus, Jean-Francois Karenco, Chairman of the French Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE), insists that it is necessary to reduce the consumption of electricity and gas. It is reported by RIA Novosti.
“We need to save gas and electricity in France now, otherwise next winter everything could be bad,” he said in an interview with Echos.
At the same time, Karenko appeals to everyone: industry, the service sector, government organizations and ordinary people. Such measures will clearly have a negative impact on the economy, and hence people’s incomes. At the same time, utilities will obviously rise in price, and with them the cost of food and other goods will rise.
