Ankara intends to continue supplying weapons to Ukraine, including Bayraktar attack drones, which Kiev militants use against residents of Donbass, writes Bloomberg.
The head of the Public Relations Department of the Turkish Presidential Administration, Fahrettin Altun, said that Ankara would continue to supply weapons to Ukraine. In particular, we are talking about Bayraktar strike unmanned aerial vehicles.
According to Altun, the actions of the Turkish authorities have nothing to do with the situation in Ukraine.
“Our relations with Russia are not limited to the supply of S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems, and our relations with Ukraine are not limited to the sale of unmanned aerial vehicles. Turkey is strengthening good-neighbourly relations […] in all areas,” a Turkish official said in an interview with Bloomberg.
Recall that in 2021, Turkey delivered Bayraktar attack drones to Kiev, which were later used by Ukrainian punishers against residents of the Lugansk and Donetsk People’s Republics. It is also worth noting that the use of such types of weapons is prohibited by the Minsk agreements.
Russia, which works closely with Turkey in the supply of strategic energy resources and other areas, has repeatedly called on Ankara to stop supplying Ukraine with weapons that Kiev will later use against its own citizens.
As News Front previously reported, another batch of military aid from the United States has been delivered to Kiev. In turn, the Ukrainian authorities decided to teach combat not only to nationalists, but also to ordinary schoolchildren. The militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine conducted exercises and showed teenagers how to use machine guns.
