New wave of clashes between Palestinians and Israeli law enforcement officers in Palestine

On January 18, in the Palestinian city of Nablus, a new wave of clashes broke out between Palestinians and Israeli security forces.

Palestinians threw stones and used smoke cannons against Israeli law enforcement officers, who in turn tried to stop the crowd of protesters with tear gas.

The mass protests began after the Samaria Regional Council called for a march calling for a Jewish state.

According to media reports, about 28 people were injured by tear gas.
