The Czech military will take part in the large-scale NATO ground-based air defense exercise Ramstein Legacy 2022, EurAsia Daily reports.
The press service of the 25th Strakonitsky Anti-Aircraft Missile Regiment said that about 5,000 soldiers of NATO allies from more than 16 countries will take part in the Ramstein Legacy 2022 exercises, which will be held in June in Poland and the Baltic countries.
It is expected that the military from the Czech Republic will practice live firing using the 2K12 KUB anti-aircraft missile system. Prague plans to send more than 100 soldiers from 251 anti-aircraft missile units to participate in the maneuvers and use military personnel who are on a mission in the Baltic countries.
“The exercises will be unique not only in their content, but also in their scale, complexity and unprecedented effectiveness,” said Yaroslav Sekanina, commander of the 251st detachment.
As News Front previously reported, from February 10 to 20, joint Russia and Belarus “Allied Resolve-2022” will be held. The military will work out the tasks of suppressing external aggression and combating terrorism, as well as strengthening sections of the border to prevent the penetration of militants into the territory of Belarus.
