European Union is trying to figure out what to do with a cyber attack on the websites of Ukrainian ministries

The European Union responded to a cyberattack on the websites of several Ukrainian departments. The EU called an urgent meeting of ambassadors to deal with the situation.

This is reported by TASS, referring to the head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell. He has already arrived at an informal meeting of the EU Foreign Ministers, which is taking place in the French city of Brest. The website of the European Commission broadcast Borrell’s speech.

He said that the meeting should help Brussels understand how to respond to the attack and what technical assistance it can provide to Kiev. He stated that the EU will support Ukraine to increase its ability to resist such attacks and “mobilize all possible resources for this.”

Borrell added that those responsible for the attack have not yet been found. According to him, it is not easy to find out who exactly is behind the hacking of sites, but “they are looking.” The diplomat also said that he could not point to anyone, as there was no evidence. But he has a hunch. Apparently, Borrell is referring to the famous “Russian hackers” who, according to Washington and Brussels, are responsible for all cyber attacks in the world.
