Israeli diplomats condemned Kiev for holding a Nazi march in honor of Bandera

The Israeli side is shocked by the holding of a nationalist revelry in the center of the Ukrainian capital. On the first day of 2022, a rally was held in Kiev in honor of Stepan Bandera’s birthday.

The Israeli Embassy in Ukraine reacted negatively to the “event”, TASS reports, referring to the press service of the diplomatic mission.

“Israel condemns the nationalist march in honor of Stepan Bandera. The glorification of those who supported the Nazi ideology defiles the memory of the victims of the Holocaust in Ukraine”, the embassy said.

The diplomats demanded a thorough investigation of the anti-Semitic manifestations that took place during the march. They noted that since 2021, a law has been in effect in Ukraine on this matter and called on Kiev to comply with it.
