France’s presidential candidate has proposed withdrawing the country from NATO

French presidential candidate Eric Zemmour declared his desire to withdraw Paris from the North Atlantic Alliance if he wins, it was reported

“I want France to withdraw from NATO’s unified military command”, – Zemmour said during a speech to his supporters at the Villepinte exhibition complex.

He also stressed that the French “will not be vassals of the European Union”. Recall that the French presidential elections will take place in April 2022. Eric Zemmour is a journalist and author, who ran for president in late November.
He has positioned himself as a representative of right-wing political views. In particular, he is known for his radical position on immigration, proposing to expel two million foreigners from France, including students from the African continent.
