White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki said the White House welcomes Putin’s words about a peaceful resolution of the conflict in Donbass.
We are talking about the words of Putin, said at a meeting of the collegium of the Russian Foreign Ministry on Thursday, November 18. The head of state noted that France and Germany verbally support the Minsk process, but in fact, they indulge Ukraine’s efforts to dismantle the Minsk agreements. Nevertheless, the president stressed that there is no alternative to the Minsk agreements.
“We welcome the statement by President Putin on the need to resolve the conflict in Donbass peacefully on the basis of the Minsk agreements”, – Psaki commented on the words of the Russian President.
She noted that the United States supports the intensification of efforts for a peaceful settlement in the Donbass. Also, the White House calls for the restoration of the ceasefire, which was established in July 2020.
