The attack on the residence of Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kazimi was “a clear act of terrorism,” Ned Price said to represent the US State Department.
“France condemns in the strongest terms the attempt on the life of Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kazimi at his home on Sunday,” the French Foreign Ministry said.
The Prime Minister of Iraq on his Twitter said that everything was in order with him and urged to remain calm. Recall that on the night of November 7, the residence of Mustafa al-Kazimi was attacked from a drone attack. Ten security personnel were injured in the attack.
“We were relieved to learn that the Prime Minister was not injured. This blatant terrorist act, which we strongly condemn, took place in the very heart of the Iraqi state”, said US State Department spokesman Ned Price.
