Russia fully complies with all its obligations under the current gas contracts, said the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov.
Hungary and Gazprom signed new contracts on September 27 for the supply of 4.5 billion cubic meters of gas per year over the next 15 years. Including 3.5 billion cubic meters of gas per year will be supplied through Serbia (from the “Turkish Stream”) and 1 billion – through Austria.
“The Russian Federation continues to fulfill all its obligations under the existing contracts,” said Peskov, answering the question of whether Hungarian supplies violate the agreement on the preservation of Ukrainian transit.
According to Peskov, there have been and will be claims against Russia, most of these claims.
“As we know, it is quite politicized, but the main thing in this situation is that we consistently remain faithful to our obligations,” said Peskov, answering the question whether the Kremlin sees risks in the fact that this situation may cause problems with the Nord Stream-2 project.
