IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi will soon visit Tehran and hold talks with the authorities.
According to TASS, on Sunday, the head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), Mohammad Eslami, after talks with IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi, said that Tehran would restore the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) access to cameras at nuclear facilities in Iran.
“It has been agreed that the [IAEA] technical team will arrive in Iran to carry out the necessary work with the cameras,” he said.
“We agreed that the IAEA Director General will visit Tehran in the near future and hold talks with the authorities,” Eslami added.
According to him, “Tehran attaches particular importance to building confidence between Iran and the IAEA.”
“We had constructive negotiations, and the problems between us are only of a technical nature,” he added.
In late May, the IAEA and Iran reached an agreement to extend by three months a temporary agreement on monitoring at Iranian nuclear facilities, which ended on May 23 but was then extended until June 24.
