According to TASS, a message posted on the army press service’s Twitter page says that Israeli fighters bombed the positions of the radical Palestinian movement Hamas in the Gaza Strip on Saturday night in response to Friday’s rocket launch towards Israel.
“In response to a missile fired from Gaza at Israel in the evening, we have just attacked a machine-gun point, a warehouse and a Hamas military complex,” the text says.
On Friday, according to the Israel Defense Forces press service, sirens sounded at the Eshkol regional council, which borders the Palestinian enclave. The missile was intercepted by the Iron Dome air defense system.
