According to media reports, Iraq is considering the possibility of stopping flights with Belarus, writes EurAsia Daily.
“We have received information from several sources that flights will be canceled for the next ten days. This seems to be very reliable information. As far as we know, Iraqi Airways has informed all travel agencies of the country about this”, – said EU Ambassador to Iraq Martin Huth.
The ambassador added that he has not yet received an official notification from Iraqi Airways. However, according to him, the Iraqi government has formed a committee to investigate the possible smuggling of Iraqi migrants into Lithuania through Belarus.
As previously reported by News Front, due to the influx of illegal migrants, Lithuania intends to build a fence on the border with Belarus, despite the deficit in the state budget.
