Hungary to submit to referendum law banning LGBT propaganda

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said that the country will hold a referendum on a law banning the promotion of non-traditional relationships among children.

“Brussels has been blatantly attacking Hungary in recent weeks over a child protection law. In Western Europe, LGBT activists attend kindergartens, schools, conduct master classes on sex education. They want to do the same in Hungary. That is why bureaucrats from Brussels threaten us and initiate procedures for violation of rights, thus abusing power, ”Orban said.

Recall that in June, the Hungarian authorities passed a law prohibiting the showing of materials about homosexuality and gender reassignment to minors. The European Commission accused Hungary of violating the “rights of representatives of the LGBT community”. According to Orban, the common will of the people can protect Hungary from attacks from the European Union
