According to TASS, on Friday, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov at a press conference following talks with Bahrain Foreign Minister Abdel Latif bin Rashed al-Zayani said that Russia welcomes Bahrain’s decision to return the Kingdom’s embassy to Damascus and is ready to cooperate on the spot on lines of diplomatic missions.
“We welcome the decision of Bahrain to return its embassy to Damascus, and we are ready to continue a close exchange of assessments through our diplomatic missions on the spot. And, of course, we consider the return of Syria to the League of Arab States as an important next step”, – he said.
